Signed in 13 January 2014, John Lambert had a successful career as a central defender with Hastings United. Playing football into his forties with Westfield and Hastings he became manager for Hastings Reserves before managing the first team in the Ryman League. Later joining Sidley in 2009 promoting them from Sussex Division Two in his first season, he spent three seasons with Sidley before taking a break.
On joining Eastbourne Town, Lambert has kept the Town in the top 5 of the Southern Combination League and winning the Sussex R.U.R. Cup in 2015
